Another Random Question
Time for another random question.
Is there something you've dreamed of doing for a long time? If so, why haven't you done it yet?

Most definitely. There are multiple reasons - mostly it's the whole "what if it doesn't work" kind of thing. Plus, it doesn't involve just me. Add to that, odd things happen whenver I decide to just go for it and then I go dashing back under my covers to try to get it all worked out again. Am I dumb or what?

There are soooooo many things I have dreamed of doing and never followed thru on. The biggest reason....fear. Fear of failing. If I don't try I can't fail. I hate failing and even worse then failure is failing in front of people.

this question is also in my book, you must have that book too, or something! lol
There are certainly a lot of things I haven't done, and why I haven't done them, because it's beyond my control.

I always dreamed of going to Rome, but alas it will probably never happen, mostly for financial reasons.

Travel to Europe. Money
Write and publish a book. Laziness and procrastination.

Yep and usually it's a money issue. My grandma used to have this saying and in my life it applies to this question and why I haven't done them yet:
She would look at me and say, "Boy, you got champagne taste and beer money..."
That kinda sums it up...lol....

Deej - you know I would say if it's your dream, then the others involved would understand. People are more kind and understanding than we often give them credit for. And no, I don't think you're dumb at all.
LMC - I do understand how you feel that way, especially after having read all those entries about your past. But if you look at those failures, even the public ones, none of them have killed you, right? You're still walking, talking, breathing, making 9-inch jokes and you have a good man.
pd - You know, with some luck your dream could be fairly easy to make come true. It's not like you'd need millions of dollars to accomplish that one.
Chica - having things outside your control make things harder, but not impossible. Maybe there's another path you can take to accomplish what you want? And I do think we have the same book. My ex and I had a copy of one similar and when we got divorced, I could only find the one I have now at the bookstore.
Laurie - That one too could be done. I found myself last year saying "I could never work two jobs". But I did and as tired as I was, I both liked and needed the extra money. There has to be a way to come up with the extra cash. Or maybe wait until you're old, get a credit card and just run up the bill, then stiff them with the charges? Sorry, that's evil Phil thinking.
Libertine - you my friend get the award for the most honest answer. Just a thought but maybe it's laziness and procrastination that also keep you financially unable to go to Europe?
Slade - brother your granny is 100% correct on that one. My father says a similar phrase and has since I was a kid. "You have champagne taste on a beer budget". I know your tastes and it would take 4-5 jobs or some ridiculous job offer to be able to afford your tastes.

Too true. Basically I need to win Mega Millions or some random shit like that....lol.
Of course, I can actually see that happening. Like Jesse, I like to keep hope alive...

Slade - did you see the rednecks that won Mega Millions? That was your bankroll they snatched.
Laurie - I try to help out where I can. ;)
Sarai - just a thought...could you sell the animals to pay for Europe? You can always buy more pets, there's only 1 Europe.
Birdie - that is a tough line to get into. Any retail business is.
Libertine - maybe you could get a partner with money and business experience who has the same goals as you?
Steve - *GOL* I'm still laughing at that one man. You're the shit.

NONONONO! these guys are special, that's like having a pet die and being told to just go buy another, because one animal is just like another, no way! however two of my horses are getting up there in years so I may be down to one equine in a year or two.

I've had a few ideas, but I've never been able to get past that stage. I have very little business sense and even less money. I've wanted to go to Australia since I was 17. Hopefully, I'll get to do that someday soon.

Sarai - it was just a suggestion. I don't have the connection to pets so that would be my first thought.
Tex - I'd like to get to Aus too...one of these days. For me, it's all about the cash.

Well, I think it's the same as the other people on the Europe dream. Do what you have to in order to make that dream a reality.

Birdie - way to elaborate bro. *LOL*
Deejay - who would be foolish enough to pass on Europe? All those amazing old cities and the flight is just a tad bit shorter.
Tex - you just worked off your free travel is all. No biggie, I'd work for a trip.

Well I'm going to the U.S. before Europe; I'm going in a few months I think. But that's just because I have to. I'd much prefer to be hitting Paris first.

Wow, not too far away at all, especially if you're in NYC. That place is craaaaaaaaaaaazy. I was there last summer and I still can't get over it, even though I've been like 6 times.
