I've seen a very disturbed parrot at the shelter once, not a pretty sight, they take as much time and attention as a two/three year old child, and why do people get them? I know I spend a lot of time with my horses but if I can't spend that time they don't go psycho.

As for the animal drugs, I'm with you...WTF? I have cats...how the hell would I know if they needed anti-depression meds? Would they sleep all day? Not come when I call them? Should I wait to see if I catch one with its head in the oven? Should I even tell them the oven is electric?

Tex, don't tell the cats the oven is electric...it might depress them even more!

My dogs will get depressed as winter drags on, but a quick game of fetch gets them back to happy...no need for drugs.

I had a chicken that pulled all of her feathers out and would run thru the yard naked. She looked just like a chicken that should be cooked except she still had her head with feathers on it. All that time I thought she had fleas...who know she was depressed! I guess I should have given her Prozac instead of cooking her!

Actually Keith is working, I believe, but he hasn't abandoned the site.

Martin has been having server issues and it attempting to move the site over to a more stable enviroment and new servers.

At least that's the understanding I have. I think they have more traffic than they anticipated. It's a small thing - just bares patience...

I read that same server story, but that wasn't a recent explanation, it's from back in early January. If it was just about being moved, I would think that 6 weeks would have been ample time.

My feeling is that if the site goes down and no one is in charge, how does it ever get fixed or back up? I TOTALLY understand that Keith has to work and I don't fault him for that at all. There should just be a plan of succession so if Keith isn't available, someone else can administer the site. That's just basic technology tactics.

I'm a network and server guy, like Martin, not a code monkey like Keith.

I have looked into the possibility of hosting on a dedicated machine, but I could never afford the bandwidth costs.

Prozac produces a feeling of such terror and agitation in some people, that up to 200,000 have killed themselves, and in some cases, also their loved ones, since its release.

It's just unbearable to think of these animals suffering such feelings.

I'm not a fan of pharmas for depression especially since in the UK they have found that they are only marginally helpful in extreme cases of depression.
